A new F-Serie printer from Ceradrop has been installed in Polifab. The machine combines conventional ink-jet printing with aerosol-jet technology, largely extending the range of possible materials deposited with a printing resolution down to 10 μm. Multiple heads can be used to print up to five different inks at once. Post-processing modules like vacuum drying, near-infrared and ultraviolet curing are available in line.
The F-Serie printer represents the first tool acquired in the framework of the Joint Research Centre between STMicroelectronics and Polifab, allowing for the development of innovative processes for MEMS fabrication.
