Abstract
The huge efforts put for research in organic electronics in the last decades made it an established field of research that raised the interest of multinational companies to exploit the full potential of this technology. In this context, one of the promising paradigm-shifting technology that is approaching its entrance to the consumer market is printed electronics. Started as a branch of the vaster Organic Electronics, it exploits the use of graphic-arts inherited printing techniques (i.e. ink-jet, flexography, etc.) for the realization of opto-electronic devices. The seminar will give a brief introduction about the concept of organic electronics and the printing techniques that may be employed for the realization of devices, followed by the description of the: i) fabrication and characterization of fully printed field-effect transistor based on random carbon nanotubes network; ii) application of ultrafast optical probing techniques for the extraction of the thermal transport properties of promising organic semiconductors for organic thermoelectrics.
